The Attacks of 9/11

  The 9/11 Attacks 9/11 was a horrible time for many people. According to Wikipedia, about 3,000 people were killed in the attacks, and 6,000 were injured. There weren’t many survivors, but there are enough to share their stories and experiences of 9/11. 9/11 took place in New York, September 11. Terrorists attacked buildings during this time because they couldn’t destroy the military, so they decided to do this.  There are many books about 9/11 and all of them describe the events of this very well. Britannica states that Al-Qaeda planned these attacks, but had help from Khalid Mohammed. He thought of the idea to hijack planes to attack the United States. The text says, “ The attacks against New York City and Washington, D.C. , caused extensive death and destruction and triggered an enormous U.S. effort to combat terrorism .” This explains how horrible and tragic 9/11 was.
